terms of service

by creating an account or using accent·ai, you agree to these terms. if you don't agree, please don't use the service.

accent·ai is an ai conversational english tutor: you practise speaking english through scenarios, and get instant feedback on your grammar, phrasing, and pronunciation.

you must be at least 13 years old to use accent·ai. you're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. tell us if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

please don't:

• use accent·ai for anything illegal, abusive, or harmful;
• try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its rate limits or security;
• create scenarios or content that infringe others' rights or are hateful, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate;
• use it to violate a third party's terms (for example, the providers behind our voice or ai features).

the tutor's replies, corrections, translations, and pronunciation scores are generated by ai. they're a learning aid and can be wrong — treat them as practice feedback, not authoritative instruction, and review them yourself before relying on them.

you keep ownership of what you say and the scenarios you create. you grant us the limited licence we need to operate the service — storing your conversations and sending your text and audio to the providers described in the privacy policy so the tutor can respond and score you. the accent·ai software, name, and branding belong to ogbuilds.

accent·ai relies on third-party providers (for hosting, the database, ai responses, speech scoring, and voice synthesis). your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms, and we're not responsible for their services.

accent·ai is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and ai-generated output may be inaccurate. accent·ai is a tool for practice, not a substitute for professional or accredited language instruction.

to the fullest extent permitted by law, ogbuilds won't be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of accent·ai. accent·ai is currently free to use, so where liability can't be excluded it is capped at £100. nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under law.

you can stop using accent·ai and ask us to delete your account at any time. we may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service.

these terms are governed by the laws of england & wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of england & wales.

we may update these terms from time to time. we'll update the date above, and continued use of accent·ai means you accept the updated terms.
